Elephant Blankets
because an elephant never forgets...
I'm Caroline and I was taught to sew by my Grandmother a very long time ago. We used to sit in her living room eating ginger snaps, chatting about life and creating wonderful things. Eventually I was allowed to use her old Singer sewing machine (when my feet could reach the pedal) and it was love at first whirr. The sewing machine has changed but the passion never has. I have made quilts for all of the important people in my life, for me, they are a symbol of love and warmth and I want you to feel the same joy every time you snuggle under your Elephant Blanket.
An Elephant Blanket is a keepsake or memory quilt, made from fabrics which mean something to you. Most usually a keepsake quilt is made from clothes your babies or children have grown out of, but it could be anything - someone retiring soon? Old work shirts make wonderful quilts. All those old 90's Band tshirts you can't bear to be parted with? Perfect! Hanging up those golf shoes? Send me your golf clothes and remember those good times on the green forever. Favourite school play over? Send me the costumes and I'll turn them into an amazing gift for the Director. You get the idea.

What is an Elephant Blanket?
Somewhere you probably have a drawer full of old clothes that never see the light of day but are too special to ever throw away. Don't leave them there forever, send them to me and I will turn them into a blanket you can use every day.
I use traditional quilting techniques to create each special blanket with love. Each one is finished by hand with bias binding to give it that perfect quilt finish.
Elephant Blankets are practical, machine washable and designed to be used regularly. Each one is unique as it is made from your fabrics and your precious memories. Remember - Elephants never forget!
