The first thing you need is to choose the size of your quilt.  The most common size is Single (130 cm x 180 cm) which great for a snuggle on the sofa but  I can make one any size that you like.

 

Then you purchase your quilt and send me your fabrics.  Once they arrive, I will have a look through and make sure there is enough usable material for your chosen size.  If there are any problems, I'll give you a call and we will talk through the options - there is always a solution.

 

I'll then look through each fabric item and select the best part to use, I'll use the embellishments, images and pattern wherever possible.  I then piece together your patchwork blocks, reinforcing any fragile fabric as I go, until your quilt starts to take shape.  

 

At this point, we'll choose a border and backing material for your quilt.  You can either trust me to choose something that coordinates well, or you can choose a prominent colour that you prefer or if there is a particular style or fabric you've seen, I will do my best to match it for you.

 

At that point, the rest is up to me and I'll finish your quilt with coordinating bias binding, hand finished to ensure durability and will package it and send back to you.  In a matter of weeks, you'll have a bespoke, handmade, unique quilt, crafted from material that will always envoke your precious memories.
